Playtomic Levels Explained: What Your Padel Level Means

Why your level matters in Bangkok
Quick take. Playtomic rates players from 0 to 7. Your first level comes from a questionnaire. After that, every competitive match moves your level up or down, based on the result and on the average levels of both teams. A "reliability" percentage shows how settled your level is: low reliability means big jumps, high reliability means small steps.
Several Bangkok clubs take bookings through Playtomic (others use The Padel Society, Kross or their own app), and open matches there are usually set for a level range. Get your level roughly right and you'll find games where every point is close.
Your starting level
When you sign up, Playtomic asks a few questions about how long and how often you have played, and about other racket sports. Answer honestly. Overrating yourself leads to tough first matches and a quick fall; underrating means a few one-sided wins before the app catches up.
How matches move your level
Only matches marked as competitive count. The app compares the average level of your team with the other team's:
- Beat a stronger team and you rise more.
- Lose to a weaker team and you drop more.
- Expected results move you only a little.
Both players on a team are affected, so pick partners you trust to play the whole match.
Reliability
Reliability is the app's confidence in your number. New players start low, so their levels swing more. Each match adds data and reliability goes up, making later changes smaller. Playing regularly is the quickest way to a level that really fits you.
Tips for moving up
- Play competitive matches with players at or a little above your level.
- Work on consistency: fewer unforced errors wins more matches than big shots.
- Take a few lessons; a clear lob and a reliable serve are quick wins.
- Remember that a number is a guide. Social games and Americanos are as much about meeting people as winning.
Find open matches through the clubs on our court guide, and share your level in the Bangkok Padel Community on Facebook to find partners.

Frequently asked questions
What is a good Playtomic level?
The scale runs from 0 to 7. Most social players in Bangkok sit somewhere in the low to middle numbers; what matters is finding matches close to your own level so games are fun for everyone.
How does Playtomic set my first level?
From a short questionnaire about your experience when you sign up. After that, your level changes with the results of competitive matches.
What does reliability mean on Playtomic?
It shows how sure the app is about your level. With low reliability your level moves a lot after each match; as you play more matches, reliability rises and changes get smaller.
